Welcome the Madras High Court verdict: MK Stalin

DMK President and Leader of Opposition MK Stalin tweeted, ‘Welcome the Madras High Court verdict on the Chief Minister’s highway tender allocation scam case to the CBI!. His continuation as Chief Minister is a shame for Tamil Nadu! The CM should resign immediately, if he refuses the Governor should dismiss him!’.

‘What’s wrong in allocating Tender work to a relative’, the CM had argued in the court!. So, I urge that before he tries to destroy evidence, CBI inquiry should start immediately and appropriate action should be taken!, he said.

Rahul Gandhi on the #Metoo movement

It’s about time everyone learns to treat women with respect and dignity. I’m glad the space for those who don’t, is closing. The truth needs to be told loud and clear in order to bring about change:
@RahulGandhi

The  campaign should start a debate & make people introspect. Truth should be told to the world. This is a step towards stopping sexual exploitation. Let’s encourage the women to expose the faces behind the mask. Let the perpetrators be put on trial & not the victims:

In a democracy, there is no such thing as too much information. Information overload is always preferable to information deficit, said President Kovind addressing the 13th annual convention of Central Information Commission, New Delhi.

People have a right to know how they are being governed, how public money is being spent, how public and national resources are being deployed, how public services are being delivered, and how public works and welfare programmes are being carried out.

India has appointed half a million public information officers under the RTI Act. The estimate of requests for information is as high as six million requests a year. These numbers are astounding :

An inward journey!

Moving beyond Body & Mind, the experience on Day 2 of Navratri with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at the Bangalore Ashram was soulfully meditative.

The second day of Navratri is dedicated to Brahmacharini. ‘Brahma’ means infinity, ‘charini’ that which moves, in the infinity. Knowing your vast nature, not thinking that you are just the body; you walk like u are a glow of light; u move in the world as though u are space:

May Maa Chandraghanta bless everyone with good heath and wellbeing, and may all suffering be eradicated from our society:
