Paramahamsa Daripada rides on Hamsa Vahanam

Thursday Evening during the Navaratri Brahmotsvams, Sri Malayappa Swamy took a delightful ride on golden Hamsa Vahanam, In the guise of Saraswathi Devi-the Goddess of Wisdom, holding Veena in one hand on the swan vehicle.

Chants of ‘Govindanama’ reverberated in Tirumala as Sri Malayappa Swamy, mounted on the golden Hamsa Vahana playing the veena and took out a celestial ride along four mada streets.

According to legend, Lord Mahavishnu assumed the guise of a swan to restore the entire Vedic records to Lord Brahma, which were in the possession of a demon. The ritual explores themes of nobility and virtue, with the Lord conveying to humanity to embrace wisdom and shed all vices.
