I will lead the protests outside CBI HQ in Delhi, at 11 AM, he tweeted.

Our duty as Opposition party is to bring the truth out in the open and inform the public: Rahul Gandhi

Congress President Rahul Gandhi addressed a Press Conference on the Rafale Deal.

Here are the Highlights :

  • Removal and appointment of CBI Director is decided by 3 member committee- PM, CJI & Leader of Opposition.
  • CBI Director was removed by Prime Minister in the middle of the night. Apart from being an insult to the people of India, it is unconstitutional and illegal.
  • The main reason for this removal of CBI Director at midnight is that the CBI was going to begin an investigation on the role of PM in Rafale scam and the corruption carried out by him.
  • Not only was the CBI Director removed, his office too was sealed and incriminating documents were taken.
  • It is illegal for CBI Director to be removed and illegal for a new man to be given charge of CBI. PM Modi has given the charge of CBI to someone whom he can control and who has been accused in several cases.
  • For every small government contract a tender is issued. But in the case of Rafale deal, PM Modi cancelled the UPA tender and came up with a new deal.

Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Prakash Javdekar spoke to the media at the BJP HQ about the Rafale deal.
He said, to say that the CBI director was sent on leave because he was inquiring on Rafale is an utterly fallacious & malicious lie. Congress & Rahul Gandhi say this because they think they have lost their chance to pocket commission in this defence deal through their friend.
CEO of @Dassault_OnAir, Éric Trappier says, basic premise of Dassault giving Rs 30,000 crore worth of offset contracts to Reliance is totally unfounded and untrue as it was a joint venture with each company contributing its respective shares.

P Chidambaram shares an experience

“I was booked Del-Mum by AI 665 for Saturday. Ticket issued.

AI – not me- cancelled the flight today and charged me Rs 3000 for cancellation!

Has AI found a new way to become profitable?!

If 100 tickets had been issued, AI will make a neat profit of Rs 3 lakh simply by cancelling the flight! Bravo! ”
